LAO JIANG offers no refunds, returns, or exchanges on purchases due to the perishable nature of our small-batch, fresh Australian-grown chilli oil. All sales are final to meet food safety standards and Australian Consumer Law (ACL), providing remedies only for faulty, damaged, or misdescribed goods.

Exceptions for Faulty Goods

Please inspect your order upon arrival and reach out within 48 hours if you spot damage from shipping, defects, or the wrong item—pop us an email at laojiangcooks@gmail.com with photos. We'll happily arrange a replacement or store credit of equal value after reviewing (at our expense), but no cash refunds. This follows ACL rules for perishable foods.

Why No Change-of-Mind Refunds

Our handmade OG, XO, and plant-based chilli oils use fresh ingredients in small batches, so they're non-returnable post-shipment to avoid contamination. As advised for Aussie food businesses, "Please choose carefully—we can't do refunds or exchanges for change of mind."
